The staff at Sonlight Preschool are motivated by our genuine love for children, and a desire to serve God in our daily lives. We are excited about working with children, helping them grow physically, emotionally and spiritually. We have built our program around activities that teach valuable social skills; promote self-awareness and independence, attributes that build a good foundation for success in the years of education ahead. We give children the opportunity to express themselves as individuals, grow in confidence and esteem, and develop sustaining relationships with peers and teachers.
Our preschool is lead by two co-directors; Nikki Dunavin and Lisa Brown. We accept children from 12 months through Pre-K (5). It meets two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am until 2:00pm.
Children start the day with chapel which consists of singing, a Bible story and prayer. Children are taught age appropriate curriculum in preparation for Kindergarten. Music and Science are taught on alternating days.
Amarillo Independent School District's calendar is followed for holidays and inclement weather.
